Razor Stream

You compress water into a razor-thin stream of devastating pressure and launch it at a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target, on a hit, the target takes 8d8 piercing damage.
Once the stream reaches the target, regardless if it hits or misses you can swing its course momentarily. Creature in a 30-foot cone behind the target must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d8 slashing damage on a failure or half as much on a success.
Objects and structures struck by the stream take maximum damage, as the pressurized water slices through material with ease.
At higher levels: Both the initial and secondary damage increase by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 5.
