Worn by the elite assassins known as Darkwood Striders, this mask is carved in the shape of an owl's face from special Ashwood found only in the Fayemarch. It's plain in design, though the enchantments make it very effective in the hands of these Striders. When worn, a dull red arcane light fills the eye sockets.

Darkvision.

While wearing this mask, you have Darkvision out to a range of 30 feet. If you already have Darkvision, wearing the mask grants Superior Darkvision up to a range of 30 feet instead.

Nocturnal Song.

If you and another creature are wearing this mask and speak the same language, all verbally spoken words are converted into a code that only users of the mask can make sense of. Spells, such as Comprehend Languages, has no affect on decoding the enchantment. In addition, you can see sound waves of another wearer when they speak through solid material up to a range of 30 feet.
