Delphini

Speed 30 ft., swim 25 ft.

Age. Delphini reach maturity by 16 years old, and usually live until about 110.
Size. Delphini can be bulky or slim depending on where they hail from, regardless, they are usually muscular.
Swim Speed. Delphini have an innate swim speed of 25 ft.
Languages. Delphini, Common
Hold Breath. You can hold your breath for up to 15 minutes.  

Subraces

Lamnidon Delphini

Ability Score Increase. Any +2, Any +1
Predator's Vengeful Gaze. Your eyes roll backwards revealing pure white orbs filled with bloodlust. As a bonus action, you may choose one creature that you can see within 30ft. That creature must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened by you until the end of its next turn. The creature automatically passes if it is Undead, a Construct, or affected by the Blinded condition. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Bite. Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Feeding Frenzy. Freshly drawn blood brings forth a more primal urge in battle. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your bite. If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage, and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1), and you can't use this trait again until you finish a short or long rest.  

Orcinus Delphini

Ability Score Increase. Any +2, Any +1
Darkvision. You're used to swimming in the darkest of depths. You can see in dim light within 60 ft. of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Sonar Strength. Harnessing a heightened version of Echolocation has allowed the Orcinus to utilize it offensively. You know the Thunderclap cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Thunderwave spell, when you reach 5th level, you can cast the Shatter spell. You may cast these spells once without expending a spellslot, once this trait is used in this way, it cannot be used until you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
