About The Mysticar Deities
Another race of Astralar that followed the earliest ones to Cartyrion was the Mysticar. These beings were far less cohesive than the other Astralar races, but the one thing they all have in common is an intense devotion to the mastery of the Six Energies. Several factions of Mysticar have assembled themselves over the millenia. Some dedicate themselves not only to mastering all forms of magic themselves, but also strive to pass that knowledge on to those Folk of Cartyrion they deem worthy. Other groups, though, have considerably less respect for the people and creations of their other Astralar cousins, and simply see Cartyrion as their laboratoy - a place for them to experiment as they hone their knowledge.
As with the Primalar, not all Mysticar are of sufficient might or appeal to reach deity status. It should be noted that, as with all of the other Astralar races, there are others who have made - and continue to make - their mark on Cartyrion. While these have not attracted full congregations, they have reached out to individuals as Patrons. But also as with the Primalar, there were many who reached out to individuals on Cartyrion to gain their followings one being at a time. In some cases, they ‘touched’ individuals to awaken magical abilities hidden deep within them; others were offered magical knowledge and ability in exchange for service.
Following are descriptions of those Mysticar that have reached Deity status.
Each type of Gremlin is the result of Gremdial's manipulations of a particular type of Fey.
Regardless of any other effects of the mutations inflicted by Gremdial, every Gremlin he formed has been instilled with the knowledge that it was Gremdial to whom they owed their new existence. And while most of the affected creatures loathed the god for that immediately after their conversions, most eventually come to terms with their new life, and are now quite willing to offer worship and service to the being that was responsible for making them what they are now.

The Changeling Gods
There is one group of Mysticar that have all decided to expend their efforts in manipulating the creatures placed on Cartyrion by other Astralar beings. These manipulations almost always involve mutations of both physical and psychological natures. The individuals that result from these alterations were almost universally shunned by the communities they originally lived in, but over time they, or their offspring, have tended to find solace and companionship among each other, and thus new races have been established. Collectively, the Changeling Gods have affected every sentient race of beings on Cartyrion, and quite a few of the lesser species as well. Today, their progeny is a significant part of the flora and fauna of the world.Gremdial
Gremdial is one of the first of the Changeling Gods to begin making a mark upon Cartyrion. He chose to focus his efforts on the beings created by the Alevar deity Berdea, particularly that god's beloved Fey creatures. It is Gremdial that is responsible for the creation of the many subraces of Gremlins. Each type of Gremlin is the result of Gremdial's manipulations of a particular type of Fey.
