The eighth group of Astralar to arrive were the Humanar, and they immediately set to work bringing about a people of their own. They chose the northern coasts of the Inner Sea to be the birthplace of their creations.

The Humans are Awakened
Like all the Astralar, the Humanar hoped one day to see their children - the people they created - rise to dominate Cartyrion. Thus, Prominion and Caronalyn of the Humanar devised a people that would would grow and prosper quickly, driven by twin desires to cooperate and to accomplish great things. And thus, the first Humans were Awakened near the place where the great city of Elderkeep now stands.
