Creatures of the Oakwood

The Oakwood is an eerie, dangerous place. A dark, menacing forest that was once the edge of the magical Feywood, this region still bears the scars of the Great Strife - the god-war that forever changed the world of Cartyrion over two thousand years ago. The trees of this forest mark the edge of the lands that were poisoned by the Wasting. The trees and plants that grow here now, and the creatures that make their homes beneath them have been mutated by the remnants of the blight that struck this land. They are dark, twisted, and evil effigies of what were once the beautiful creations the Alevar.

For Spooktober 2024, we will take a look at some of the horrific flora and fauna that make their lairs in the region.
