I just wrote an article on what a million charms would get you in various planets in the Yonderverse. Charms are the most used currency in this world, but it got me wondering - things must cost a lot more or less on different planets, right? So, I decided to explore it a little bit!
I'd love to see other people answer this question in their own worldbuilding!

I'm so proud to say my entry, the Glassy Trench, won the Wondrous Nature award <3 It feels like a full circle moment for me. Child me, who rolled around in fields and forests watching insects hop about, birdwatching with my grandad, and peering into rockpools to look at the pretty little crabs in the water, would be ecstatic to know he's now telling the stories he always dreamed of telling, creating worlds full of life, and sharing his imagination with the world. Good luck to all of the nominees! It's a huge honour to be nominated, and I am proud of everyone. I'm in such good company nominated alongside friends and writers I look up to, and I'm super excited to hear who wins. I know even if I don't win, another wonderful writer is going to win, so there's no loss in this situation!
This is my fourth time entering the Worldbuilding Awards, and the first time I've been nominated for an article! It was always a dream of mine to have an article nominated, so I'm proud of myself <3 It's very important to be proud of oneself, fight those brain goblins!

Next, I'd like to share my New Year's Resolutions article. I recapped my entire 2025, which started out strong but I struggled in the last six months. This year, my focus is on taking enough breaks for me to feel happy and content, as well as still being able to produce lots of work I'm really proud of. I've also showcased five worlds that caught my attention during WorldEmber! <3
WorldEmber has now come to a close, and it was a bit of a rocky one for me. I've now compiled all of my entries into this article below, and now I feel like I can fully let WorldEmber go. I wasn't all that pleased with my progress this WorldEmber until I made this article, and saw I actually got a fair bit done!

Ohohohoho! NEW WORLD!
I'm so excited to share a new world, Spaceway Apothecary! You, the reader, are exploring an apothecary you stumbled across in your ventures throughout the Yonderverse.
The owner, a witch, seems like an eclectic fella. Throughout this story, feelings, your lack of knowledge on magic, and the awkward, cramped shop floor brings you two closer together.
This world is going to be full of cute gay romance because yasssss that's fun to write, that's fun to read, and it's fun giggling and kicking your feet as these little gay characters awkwardly interact and realise their feelings for one another.
Also it's SO refreshing to be working on the Yonderverse still, but from a completely different angle. This is now the sixth sub-world I've made for the Yonderverse, including the A to Zoo, Late Jurassic Earth, Creatures of the Yonderverse, and two others that are private (and Yonderverse Taxonomy, I suppose, but that could either be deleted or merged with my actual world). Either way, it's just so delightful to make another world, have it build off my main project, yet be so different.

I'm super excited for WorldEmber this year, it's the first year I plan to focus on a side-world. The A to Zoo is a joy to work on, but I've not felt inspired to work on it in a long time. A recent overhaul has kickstarted my motivation for the project again, and so I'm planning on carrying that straight into WorldEmber!
But enough about me, I'm really making this journal post to share some pledges from worlds I'm super excited to see more of this WorldEmber.
Firstly, we have Blue Fairy, who is focusing on the aquatic continent Ulűri̋qi̋. I really love aquatic worldbuilding and I'm super excited to see Blue's beautiful art shine through her articles. Elaqitan is a superb world and I really encourage people to check it out!
Elaqitan is also at 99 followers, will you be the lucky No. 100?
My next prep article is by Those2nerds, who plans to work on wow that's a lot of stars. wowtalos is one of my favourite worlds, with its worldbuilding on people, politics, and the connections they form.
They plan on writing important articles, and I've got my fingers crossed we get to read more planet-related articles. Please check out wowtalos and this prep article!
SanZera will always have a special place in my heart, as one of the first worlds I found on WA. I love the human made art made by Aster, it's so colourful and precious and sdnsjdnsjdnaj I love it so much. Please check out this world if you love awesome glowing animals!
Happy Birthday to me! As a little celebration, I've spent my day working on a small overhaul of my Fun Facts page, which is my private article redirect. I then felt the urge to re-draw my global banner, as I hated the previous version.
I'm really happy with what I've whipped up, I feel the Yonderverse heading into a new era, the world growing into something I'm truly beyond proud of. I've always wanted to draw a pastel rainbow black hole, and I really think I did a good job with it! I've got so many plans for my world moving forward. I'm still hard at work with the Overhaul, which has been in motion since January this year. Getting to go back to my earliest work, reflect on it, appreciate it, while also tearing it up and starting fresh, has been such a rewarding experience.
Thank you to everyone who's shown me support on this journey. I've been on World Anvil almost five years now, I started when I was in high school and now I'm an adult with a full time job. Time has flown by, and the one thing that's remained the same is the WA community. I've made so many close friends here, I've learnt so many things and met so many amazing people. So, thank you all <3

I am so excited for WorldEmber this year! I'm happy with what I've gotten done this year, but I could've done more. I could always do more. I keep telling myself that, but I have to remember that this year I've started my first full time job, a volunteer placement at a zoo (alongside another a sanctuary), I no longer live with parents, so I have less and less time and money to myself.
I'm really excited to end this year on a high note. I've spent a lot of October working hard behind the scenes on overhauling the A to Zoo, once again. This time I'm settling on what I've got.
It's been my dream, ever since I was a child, to own a zoo. It's incredibly unrealistic, but nevertheless I used to dream of it all the time. In fact, there are still drafted plans of enclosures tucked away in a box in my attic somewhere. It occurred to me at some point this year that I possess all of the abilities to make my own zoo... except it'd be entirely digital. But that's better than nothing!
So here we are, my fourth (?) overhaul of the A to Zoo. The homepage is fresh and looking better than ever, I have overhauled navigation of this world, and overall I'm just aiming for it to resemble a real zoo website as much as possible. Expect tickets pages, staff/volunteer hiring pages, and a bunch of other exciting pages throughout November, to really bring this vision to life.
If you've made it this far, thank you so much for reading. I love World Anvil, and I'm loving this new UI update. I've been very vocal about my dislike of modals and pop-ups, and you know what, I still stand by that. I am still not a fan of the community modal in particular, and I'm more than happy to admit that. I think it's important to be honest about your thoughts on these updates. But be polite. I've not been polite in the past and it got me nowhere. It came from a place of anger, but also a place of love. I love World Anvil so much, it angered me to think I'd struggle to use the site, and I unfairly took some of that out on the Team. Admitting that is my way of moving past it.
But I went into this Athena update with a positive attitude, and I've been loving it. There are still things I'm not a fan of, but I've sent polite feedback to the team and some of my suggestions have even been implemented! Please be polite. the World Anvil Team is a small but passionate one. Yes, it's questionable, releasing intentionally unfinished updates to the entire site in the hopes of people sending polite feedback, but it's not nice to be rude. They are trying their absolute best, and doing one hell of a job. I can't imagine how stressful managing an entire website must be.
I ought to stop rambling on now, so once again, thank you for reading this! I'm going to take November to relax a little after a busy October. Reflect on my journey as a worldbuilder, see how I can improve on myself and my abilities. Love you all!

We're a week into Spooktober, and I have been soaring through my first 13 prompts by writing stub articles on pretty flowers, each one referencing a friend on World Anvil! I will always take any chance I can to reference the wonderful people on this site, in my own writing, I think it's a really fun thing to do.
Aside from these pretty flowers, I've written two full articles, one on mirehorns, apex predator buffalos, and Nalmaria, a spider-infested planet! I've also written a little prose snippet, There's No Hope, because I'm in dire need of more practice writing prose!
Lots more to come while Spooktober is running, I've plenty of exciting, spooky ideas, and I can't wait to make some awesome things for people to check out!

Massive congratulations to all of the winners this Summer Camp! Tough competition this year. It was so nice to see such a variety in unique authors winning, but props to Imagica, for winning three prompts and Most Inspiring World, with Crux Umbra!
I'm super happy to have won a prompt, myself! My Magical Surge article brought me a win this year, and I'm very proud of that. Unfortunately this wasn't one of my better years in Summer Camp, I'm not feeling overly proud of my work as a whole.
The rules I initially set for myself at the beginning of the event pushed me to my limits, causing me to struggle just one week into the competition. That led me to basically flop about the rest of July and August, struggling to write anything truly meaningful. Next year I'm going to go back to what I do best, which is writing shorter, concise articles. I've been told I write short articles well, which reassures me!
And now we have a fun new challenge to look forward to! Elves VS Aliens? I'm Team Aliens, which one are you?
Y'all, I don't even know what to say. I've been working so hard on the Yonderverse since I joined World Anvil, 4 years, 4 months, and a week ago. AKA 1,590 days ago.
That's an average of 628 words per day. Not entirely accurate, considering I've missed many days here and there, but I've been pretty darn consistent with this project, taking a week off at most from it at any one time.
I can't thank people enough for supporting my silly little project. Guess I can't call it little anymore! But seriously though, the Yonderverse is by far the best thing I've ever created. I've never given up this much time and effort on a single project, and it is easily the most impressive thing I've achieved.
Like, I've created a world. Everything you read is mine, I've written this. I've thought of hundreds of interesting planets, peoples, thousands of creatures, created conflicts, love, between characters and organisations. Sometimes I stop and think about it, and I realise just how powerful being a worldbuilder is.
But yeah, I'm so excited! I can't wait to see where this world goes. Last night I hit Diamond in this year's Summer Camp, so I'll be polishing my existing entries until the deadline. While I'm judging my prompt, I'll be working on some exciting commissions I've got right now! Aaaand while I'm doing both of those, I'm hopping right back into the Yonderverse Overhaul and polishing up all the old, crap parts of my world. I'll be making more time to write brand new content while I'm polishing old stuff, as I need to find a better balance. But that's next month's problem!

The past few weeks haven't been very productive, I've been in what might be a little writer's block, and I've not had the energy nor motivation to get any words written at all.
Buuuuut, I got an art trade with Hatwolf done! I'm so pleased with how it turned out, it was great practice drawing environments (I don't do it much, shockingly).

I am soooo excited for Summer Camp this year! The assignments have been lining up perfectly with the Yonderverse Overhaul, too, which is lovely. We've not had a single competition this year so far (excluding WAWA, which doesn't count because it did not involve writing anything), which I find kind of crazy and I've really missed a proper World Anvil competition.

To celebrate Pride Month this year, Rin and I will be hosting the second Show Your Colors Challenge! The challenge starts this Sunday (June 1st), and ends the 30th. Rin and I are looking for worldbuilding made with love for the queer community - articles that trend positive, hopeful, or uplifting, even in the face of conflict and struggle.
There is a minimum of 300 words, but no maximum. It isn't a judged competition either, so no stress! We will share some of our favourite entries after Summer Camp! I hope people enjoy this challenge <3
I've been on World Anvil for four years now!
My 4th WAnniversary was yesterday, March 21st. I spent the day reminiscing and reflecting on my time on World Anvil, because it's been nothing short of life-changing. I don't throw that word around a lot, but in this case it's deserving.
I first joined World Anvil when in secondary/high school - I've now finished that, gone through college, and I'm now working full time. I've grown as a person, as a writer and as a creator, going from someone with absolutely no experience with writing to taking home an award and being nominated for four more (might win more awards this WAWA! Fingers crossed!) I've made such close, beloved friends, and I've written practically a million words across all of my worlds combined. The Yonderverse is currently at around 925k, and I'm hoping to hit that by the end of the year.
I can't thank people enough for their love and support over these years. I've met some incredible people through this website, and the Yonderverse is the single greatest thing I've ever put my mind to. I can't wait to see what the future brings!
I don't actively promote it much, but I do art commissions! I specialise in drawing creatures, so that's all my commissions are for at the moment. You can find it all on my Ko-Fi page!
Oh and also, I have an ongoing feature suggestion! I'd like to see community posts (and their notifications) have a title again. I've found community posts get a lot less engagement nowadays, and I think the absence of a title is part of the reason why D: please upvote if you'd like to see the title re-added to community posts, and see community engagement increase!
